This is a fine quality, ca. 2002, Foster Campos Pembroke, Mass Reproduction Simon Willard Roxbury Tallcase Clock. The mahogany case is 88” tall, 21” wide and 11 ½” deep. The door and base have gorgeous mahogany crotch veneer with contrasting corner fans and string inlays. The waist has quarter columns with stop-fluting and brass capitols. The bonnet has full stop-fluted columns with brass capitols. Delicate fretwork and three brass ball and spire finials finish the top of the case. The dial is expertly hand painted with gold accents and floral decorations. The brass hands are fine engraved. The antique 8 day movement has been restored and is in fine running condition. As is typical of Foster Campos’ work, the workmanship is simply the best. Foster has made very few tallcase clocks. This is an opportunity to own a great reproduction of a famous Simon Willard tallcase clock for a tiny fraction of the price of an original.
