Item ID: 2377 – Chelsea 6” Special Gold Dial Library Clock. House strike. The Library clock is one of the most sought after of the Chelsea shelf clocks. The symmetry of the clock case with the coin-edged bezel and back flange centered on the base which is decorated with fine beading all around makes this one of the most elegant Chelsea shelf clocks. Matching serial number 20791 dates the clock to 1906. The Old Brass case and gold dial with applied numerals are in fine original condition. A very fine and rare Chelsea shelf clock.

Item ID: 2240 - Chelsea 10" Special Dial Yacht Wheel Ships Bell Clock. A superb all original example of an exceedingly rare largre dial Chelsea clock. The serial number 164002 on the movement and the case dates the clock to 1925. The Copper Bronze finished case is 22 1/2" from tip to tip of the wheel. The dimensions on the display stand are 23"tall, 22 1/2" wide and 6" deep. The 10" dial is marked Tiffany & Co, New York. The clock is in superb original condition. Simply magnificent!

Item ID: 2359 - Chelsea 10" Marine Clock made for the American Steam Gauge Company, Boston. The silvered dial with engraved Roman numerals has the most elaborate engraving around its center and states: "American Steam Gauge Company Boston". Above the center of the hands is a sweep second dial and to the right a slow/fast adjustment bit. The clock retains its original eight day movement. Serial number: "35880" dates the clock to August 26, 1908. The clock retains its original steam gauge case with an unusual multifaceted hinge bezel. The clock is set into an attractive period mahogany base. This clock is extremely rare and desirable because of the quality of the engraving and its rare and elaborate case style.

Chelsea Clock Company 10" Special Gold Dial Base & Ball with superb original Verde finish. The clock strikes ships bells. Early large dial Chelsea clocks with excellent original finish are exceedingly difflcult to find. This example has a Verde finish in truly mint condition and also has an unusual gold dial with raised numerals and pierced hands. Serial number 20246 on the movement and case bottom dates the clock to 1905. An absolutely gorgeous all original early large dial Chelsea shelf clock. It doesn't get any better than this.

Item ID: 2335 - Chelsea Clock Co. 10" Ships Bell Chain Clock for Tiffany & Co. Serial number 172729 on the movement and the case dates the clock to 1926. Spectacular original finish on case, dial and chains. Chelsea chain clocks are exceedingly rare. They were shown in the Chelsea 1911 and 1917 catalogs with 12" dials. Other sizes were special order. Examples with original chains are even more difficult to find. This is the only known example with the original chains with their original finish matching the clock case. Unique and very desireable.

Chelsea 10" Special Dial Wardroom Clock for Tiffany & Co., New York. Serial number 130881 dates the clock to 1919. An exceedingly rare clock in superb restored condition. This is the only Wardroom Clock that I have seen with raised numerals and serpentine hands.

Chelsea Clock Co. 12" Marine Clock for Ashcroft Mfg. Co., New York. A very unusual clock with an inclinometer installed on the dial below 12. The engraved scale below the indicator hand is marked from 30 to 15 to 0 to 15 to 30. The mechanmism has a counter weight on the back of he dial that moves the hand to show the heel or list of the vessel. Probably used to insure the ship was loaded with the cargo distributed evenly from port to starboard. The hour hand and minute hand are aluminium making them easier to form to clear the inclinometer mechanism on the dial. Serial number 52443 on the movement dates the clock to 1909. Uncommonly, for a gauge company clock, the case is also stamped with serial number 52443. The dial is stamped 2999 below 6.

Additionally the dial is engraved Chelsea Clock Movement 7 Jewells. #985345 is stamped on the dial below 6. The oversize, early style, key locking case is case 14 3/4" in diameter and 3 1/4" deep. The movement is stamped Chelsea Clock Co. Serial number 83826 on the movement dates the clock to 1913. The case has been polished and lacquered. he dial has been resilvered. The movement has been overhauled. A very unusual large dial Chelsea marine clock.
