The dial is engraved "Made for Wessell, Nickel & Gross" and "Chas G. Willing, Mfr, New York" with fine accent flourishes and bold Roman numerals. The dial has been restored. The key locking case has been polished and lacquered. The E. Howard signed movement has nickel plated and damascened plates. Wessell Nickel & Gross was a piano action maker that started business in 1874 but failed during the Great Depression in the 1930's. Recent new owners are continuing the innovation of the founders. An unusual clock in fine restored condition.
