This is a ca. 1981 Foster Campos David Wood Shelf Clock. The 35” tall, solid mahogany case is a fine replica of the ca. 1810 original. The case is adorned with delicate satinwood inlays, a marquetry eagle and shield in the center of the crotched mahogany veneered lower door. The case also has reeded quarter columns with brass capitols, carved fretwork top and 3 brass finials. The case is marked 13 - 81. The quality, 8 day, weight driven movement has passing strike on the hour. The clock is a perfect, completely original, example of Foster’s work and is in as new condition. The clock is also in fine running condition.
