Chelsea Clock Company Hawkes Etched Glass Clock. The case is beautifully etched with very fine leaf, vine and floral patterns. The Hawkes name is etched in the glass at the bottom of the back of the case. The glass has no chips or nicks. The case is 11" tall, 9 1/2" wide and 6" deep. The clock weighs 16 pounds. Serial number 189125 on the Chelsea signed movement dates the clock to 1928. The 5 1/2" dial is unsigned. The bezel and back door have their original nickel plating that is in fine condition. The dial has been resilvered. The house strike movement has been overhauled.
