Item ID: 2388 - Harvard Clock Co. 6" Marine Clock for Ashcroft Mfg. Co. and the SS Mascotte. A fine original clock. The case has the original nickel plating in fine condition. The original surface dial is engraved S.S. Mascotte. The nickel damascened movement is signed Harvard Clock Co and is stamped with serial number 298 on front and back plate of movement. The back of the case has 2 dust covered holes to access the escapement. The S.S. Mascotte built by William Cramp & Sons Shipbuilding, Philadelphia and completed in 1885 for the Plant Steamship Line of Tamps, FL. was one of 2 steamships of the Plant Steamship Company that were used for runs from Tamps to Havana for more that 25 years. She was 207 feet in length and displaced 884 tons.

The movement has been serviced and keeps excellent time.

Item ID: 2352 - Harvard Clock Co. 7 3/8" Marine Clock for Ashcroft Mfg Co., Boston and W. & A. Fletcher, New York. Finely engraved dial with decorative flourishes. W. A. Fletcher is highlighted with shaded block letters. The hands are slender and delicate. The key locking case has been polished and lacquered. The 7 jewel movement is signed Harvard Clock Co. and stamped wth serial number 88 on the front and back plates. The clock is listed in the Harvard Clock Co. Register at the Chelsea Clock Museum.
